La Belle Ancienne (Ancient Beauty) is nestled in the quaint hamlet of Assignan (936 AD), built on a hill near St Chinian, in the heart of a region steeped in history, as well as wine: the Languedoc. The Pyrenees mountains grace the scene.
You gain entrance on Carriera Granda, in the oldest part of the village.
The house is full of character, inside and out!
It can comfortably accommodate up to four persons, on three floors of rustic French decor,
with the addition of a spacious roof terrace, overlooking the vineyards and rolling hills beyond.
Exposed stonework, large wooden beams, a classic winding staircase from cellar to roof terrace,
fireplace, marble sink and original tiles preserve the antiquity and charm of its medieval essence.
